No. Most of our rowers start as novices. Our Learn to Row clinic is the best place to begin.

PA Crew is open to students in grades 9 to 12 at any school, including homeschool. You do not have to attend Princess Anne High School.

The Learn to Row clinic is $10. Fall dues are $375, plus a $25 USRowing membership. Dues cover regatta entry fees, equipment maintenance and insurance, and gas for the coach launches. Uniforms are extra, and winter conditioning is optional.

Practice is Monday to Friday, 3:00 to 5:30 pm, and rowers must keep at least a 60% attendance rate. Regattas are all-day events.

Every rower completes a Swimming Policy & Ability Form. A swim test will be administered prior to the first regatta.

Princess Anne High students walk together from school. Other students need a ride, or can take a Virginia Beach academy bus with help from the VBCPS transportation office.

Report times run from 6:30 to 8 am depending on role and event. Families can carpool, and everyone helps load the trailer at the end of the day.
